Terms of service

Effective August 10, 2026

These terms cover the CallKeeper AI phone receptionist service ("the service", "we", "us"), operated from Arizona, United States. They apply from the day you start a trial or sign an order for the service.

What the service is

We answer phone calls that your existing business number forwards to us. The receptionist has a spoken conversation with the caller, collects their name, callback number, service address, a description of the problem and how urgent it is, reads the details back for confirmation, and emails the lead to the address you give us. On the Pro plan it also creates the Request in your Jobber account and sends a missed-call text back.

The service does not book or schedule appointments, dispatch technicians, quote prices, promise arrival times, or take payments. It captures the lead; your office still calls back and runs the job.

The service is not an emergency line and must not be presented to your callers as one. Do not rely on it for anything where a delay would cause harm.

Your number stays yours

We do not take ownership of your phone number. Setup is carrier call-forwarding on the number you already publish, which you can switch off yourself at any time. If you leave, you keep your number and nothing about it changes.

Trial

New customers get 14 days. We take no card until day 15. You can stop during the trial for any reason or no reason, and you owe nothing — not the monthly fee and not the remainder of the setup fee.

Fees

Monthly plans are billed on the same day each month, in advance for the plan fee and in arrears for any additional calls. Prices are in US dollars and exclude any tax that applies to you.

What counts as an "answered call"

This is the number your bill depends on, so it is defined narrowly and in your favour:

We will show you the counted calls for any billing period on request, and if our count and yours disagree we use yours unless we can show you the call log that explains the difference.

Term and cancellation

Monthly service is month-to-month. There is no minimum contract length and no early-termination fee.

After the trial, either of us may cancel with 30 days' written notice by email. Service continues through those 30 days and is billed for them; after that it stops and nothing further is charged. We will tell you the exact final-invoice amount when you give notice.

We may suspend or end the service immediately if an invoice is more than 15 days overdue, or if the service is used for something unlawful.

Refunds

If you think a charge is wrong, email us first. We would rather refund a disputed charge than argue about one.

Call recording and monitoring

Calls that reach the receptionist are recorded and transcribed. We do this to produce the lead accurately, to let you check what a caller actually said, and to fix mistakes the receptionist makes.

Arizona, where the service is operated, is a one-party-consent state (A.R.S. § 13-3005 and § 13-3012): a party to the call may record it. Our receptionist is a party to every call it answers.

Our greeting identifies the line as an automated assistant, and if a caller asks whether they are being recorded, it tells them the truth. Some states require every party to consent. If your callers may be in one of those states — or if you would simply rather be explicit — tell us and we will turn on a spoken recording notice at the start of every call, at no charge. You are responsible for whatever notice your own business is required to give your customers; we will configure the greeting however that requires.

We do not record or listen to your staff's own calls. Only calls forwarded to the receptionist reach us at all.

Your data

The leads and call records belong to you. We hold them to run the service, we do not sell them, and we do not use one customer's call data to sell to another. Full detail is in the privacy policy.

Your responsibilities

What we do not promise

Speech recognition is not perfect and neither is the phone network. We build the service to catch the calls your office cannot get to, but we do not guarantee that every call is answered, that every detail is transcribed correctly, or that the service is available without interruption. It depends on your carrier, on our telephony provider and on the speech and language services we use, and any of them can have an outage.

The service is provided as-is to the fullest extent the law allows. To the fullest extent the law allows, our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the three months before the claim. We are not liable for lost profits or lost business, including business lost through a missed or mis-transcribed call.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. Meaningful changes are posted here with a new effective date, and any change to what you pay takes effect no sooner than 30 days after we email you about it — which is also long enough for you to cancel under the notice period above.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Arizona, and any dispute belongs in the state or federal courts of Maricopa County, Arizona.

Contact

Email jacesbuinessacc@gmail.com, or call or text (520) 268-2318. We answer our own phone; the demo line at (602) 731-3254 is the receptionist itself, so call it if you want to hear the product rather than reach a person.
