Privacy policy
Effective August 10, 2026
This service exists to handle other people's phone calls, so the honest version of this policy is longer than "we respect your privacy". Here is exactly what we hold.
If you are a visitor to this website
This site sets no cookies, runs no analytics, loads no third-party scripts, fonts or trackers, and has no advertising pixels on it. Nothing on the page reports your visit to anyone.
If you fill in the contact form, we get what you type: your name, your business name, your phone number and email, roughly how many calls you miss, and whatever you write in the message. We use it to reply to you and to set up the service if you want it. If you call the demo line instead, that call goes through the receptionist itself, and it is recorded and transcribed like any other call it answers (see below).
Our web server keeps a short log line for each lead it receives — the time, and the details you submitted — so an enquiry cannot be silently lost. We do not build a profile from it and we do not sell it.
If you are a customer, and we answer your calls
What we collect. For every call forwarded to the receptionist: the caller's phone number, the audio of that call, a transcript of it, and the details the caller gives — their name, callback number, service address, description of the problem and urgency. Plus your own account details: business name, contact name, email, phone, billing details and lead-delivery address.
Why. To produce the lead, to email it to you, to let you check what a caller actually said, to correct mistakes the receptionist makes, and to bill you correctly.
Recording. Calls answered by the receptionist are recorded and transcribed. Arizona, where the service is operated, is a one-party-consent state and the receptionist is a party to the call. The greeting identifies the line as an automated assistant, and if a caller asks whether they are being recorded it tells them. If you want an explicit spoken recording notice at the start of every call, ask and we turn it on at no charge. Full detail is in the terms.
Your customers' data is yours. We hold it to run your service. We do not sell it, we do not share it with advertisers, and we never use one customer's call data to market to another.
Who else touches it
Running a phone line means other companies carry parts of the call. We use as few as we can:
- A telephony provider (Twilio) carries the call and holds the recording while it is being processed.
- A speech and language provider converts the call to text and generates the receptionist's side of the conversation.
- An email provider delivers the lead to your inbox.
- A payment processor handles card details if and when paid checkout is available. Card numbers go to them, never to us — we do not store card details at any point.
Each of them gets only what it needs to do that job, and none of them are permitted to use your data for their own purposes.
How long we keep it
- Call recordings and transcripts: 90 days, then deleted. Ask and we will shorten that for your account, down to deleting the audio as soon as the lead email has been sent.
- Leads and call metadata: for as long as you are a customer, and 30 days after you leave.
- Website enquiries: until we have finished the conversation with you, and no more than 12 months.
- Invoices and payment records: as long as tax law requires.
Deleting your data
Email us and we delete your account data within 30 days, recordings included. If one of your callers asks you to have their call deleted, forward the request and we will delete that call's audio, transcript and lead within 7 days and confirm it to you.
Security
Data is held on managed cloud infrastructure with access limited to the people who run the service — today, one person. We will tell you within 72 hours if we ever learn that data of yours has been exposed, and we will tell you what was in it rather than issuing a vague notice.
Children
This is a service sold to businesses. It is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect their data.
Changes
Meaningful changes are posted here with a new effective date, and we email customers about anything that changes what we collect or how long we keep it.
